Alissia Milena has been touring with her band since autumn 2024.
Using various instruments and singing in multiple voices, the virtuoso artists make people sing along, dance or cry.
Ranging from tranquil Nordic to vibrant South American pieces, the new set offers a multicolored sound experience. At the heart of the "Gaya" tour is the connection to Mother Earth, all beings, and the Great Spirit.

The Musicans

Roland Dietisheim
Percussion

Growing up in a world of jazz and deeply rooted in African American music, Roland soon developed a keen interest in experimental timbres and music from many cultures around the world. Starting with the saxophone and guitar, rhythmic instruments, which he had been self-taught since a young age, soon became his primary focus. He has toured with various Eastern European bands, from Balkan Gypsy to Klezmer, accompanied dancers and fire artists with darabuka and frame drums in the Arabic North African style, was the drummer in a Bernese folk-rock band for many years, accompanied dance projects and courses with people with disabilities, and plays everything from medieval music to experimental electronic music. Yet always with a strong connection to the roots of heartfelt improvisational music.

Marie Steinert
Violin, Flute, Backing Vocals

After receiving classical training, Marie has traveled extensively with her violin in various musical projects. Whether performing gentle folk music in Scandinavian countries, repetitive sounds and large ensembles in Israel and Morocco, or performing circus and theater art, dance music, gypsy tunes, singer-songwriters, mantra sounds, and funky beats at various festivals, concerts, and on the streets of Europe. In search of musical inspiration, she traveled to Arab countries, Africa, India, and South America to broaden her horizons and build musical bridges.

Beat Schenkel
Bass, Harmonium, Guitare, Backing Vocals
