The young singer from Bern, multi-instrumentalist, song leader and ritual facilitator Alissia Milena sets out on Gaya, her second CD(alissia-milena.ch), together with a large group of musical friends, on a moving and fascinating journey of songs. The lyrics, mostly in English, celebrate the singer’s love for nature and for Mother Earth and powerfully remind us that we as human beings are connected with the whole of creation and carry a responsibility towards it.
Alissia’s voice is delicate, yet earthy and deep; her harp playing light and pearling; the interplay of the accompanying musicians sensitive and yet distinctive; the sound mix highly professional – in short, a joy and deeply touching for me as a listener, also to hear through these little song gems how this young singer follows her very personal musical and life path.

The young Bernese singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Alissia Milena moves me in many ways on her first CD "Over the Land": firstly with her natural, clear singing, whose timbre is particularly well suited to Celtic, Nordic and sacred chants, then with her abilities on a wide variety of instruments such as harp, violin, flutes, piano, guitar, koto and percussion - and last but not least with her gift for receiving wonderful melodies, such as the title track of her CD.
What characterizes Alissia's music above all else, however, is the great soulfulness and connection that invites the listener to embark on an inner journey. Alissia herself on her music: "Our existence is like a beautiful song; A song that never ends.
